Clay & Concrete Tile Roofing
Tile is heavy, unforgiving work. We repair, reset, and replace it without cracking what is still good.
Clay and Concrete Tile Roofing
Want a roof with real personality? Clay and concrete tile deliver dramatic curb appeal and some of the longest lifespans in roofing. These tiles have been known to last 50 to 100 years or more.
Weather Tech Renovations has deep expertise in both clay and concrete tile products, installation, maintenance, repair, and inspections. We are a local, family owned company out of Blue Springs, MO, serving Kansas and Missouri homeowners for over 20 years.
Clay vs. Concrete: What Is the Difference?
Clay tiles are made from clay and water, one of the most environmentally friendly building materials there is. They come in rich, natural reds and browns that never fade. Concrete tiles are made from sand, water, and cement, can be manufactured in any color, and typically cost about 20 percent less than clay. Concrete is also less fragile in cold climates, which matters through Missouri winters.
Why Homeowners Choose Tile
- Hail toughness: Quality clay and concrete tiles are tested to FM4473 and most meet Class 4 impact resistance, resisting hail larger than a golf ball.
- Fire resistance: Tile carries a Class A fire rating, the highest a roofing material can achieve.
- Energy efficiency: Tile reflects radiant heat in summer and insulates in winter, cutting utility bills in the hottest months.
- Longevity: A properly installed tile roof can outlast several conventional roofs.
